Baby, No More

Morgan has grownup right before our eyes. It’s hard to believe 17 months have passed, although I can barely remember life without her. Summer is here again and a lot has changed over the year. Morgan is walking now… more like running. She also started talking and loves to read her books out loud to us, however we don’t understand most of what she is saying. She seems to have her own language. Communicating with her has gotten easier. Last week she started nodding her head and saying “yes” and “no” for things. So now we know what she wants. Mom likes that! Her favorite words are Duck and Dog and loves to point them out when she sees one. She also points at the sky when she hears an airplane. She is a lot taller this year. She has been growing like crazy, off the charts height. We are now buying size 2T and size 6 shoes. At her last checkup she had all 16 teeth in, so only the 2 year molars are left. She does have a BIG sweet tooth. She loves ice cream, cookies and anything chocolate. Morgan also has a little tomboy in her. Despite my best efforts she wants nothing to do with baby dolls or dressing up. She wants to run around with the boys and play in the dirt. She could sit outside for hours, playing with a shovel and bucket. And would take a toy car over a baby doll any day of the week. She is also not the water baby she was last year. She seems hesitant of the lake this year but the temperature is still a little cold so maybe she will come around. It been fun watching her grow and mature into a little person. Before I know it I will have a 2 year old!
